Spam has emerged as the biggest cyber risk for Bangladesh. According to the Bangladesh Cyber Threat Landscape Report-2020, this spam is in the top 10 cyber risks, which was in the second place last year. This time ransomware came up as the second risk after spam which was eighth in the previous year. Then there are the risks like phishing, malware, information leakage in places. This time the top 10 risks in Bangladesh are spam, ransomware, phishing, malware, information leakage, insider threat, identity theft, web based attack, data breach and denial of service.
Workshops were organized for 2019-2020 with the participation of important information infrastructure, government and non-government organizations, law enforcement agencies and academia. The report is based on the information obtained from the workshop and the survey information.
