Bangladesh women entrepreneurs to participate in US Programme

The US Embassy in Dhaka is offering women entrepreneurs, business managers, social innovators, policy makers and civil society leaders with at least seven years of work experience the opportunity to participate in a 13-day program in Hawaii with other women leaders from around the world. Applications have been invited for participation in this program. The last date to submit the application is April 4.

The seminar will bring together women entrepreneurs and innovators from around the world in a 13-day professional training, dialogue and travel program that will enhance women’s leadership skills and entrepreneurial capacity; Will explore hands-on innovative entrepreneurial endeavors; Build confidence in your own strengths and expand national and international networks.

During the seminar, participants will take part in a number of workshops, the content of which is leadership and entrepreneurial attitude.

Each of the participants will engage with local female leadership one by one and come back to work as a mentor to a selected group of high school students in a Next Generation Service project. The Changing Faces seminar will have simultaneous training and consultation sessions, so that participants can formulate and implement a specific action plan for the development of their business and local communities. Participants in the Changing Faces seminar will participate in the #galswithLEI forum as panelists and moderators. The forum works to create leadership, entrepreneurial attitudes and stimuli among women and girls.

Who can apply

The Changing Faces Seminar is looking for women owners and social entrepreneurs who have leadership qualities and the ability to change or influence others in their own communities. Innovative entrepreneurs, business managers, government and industrial policy makers, and civil society leaders with at least seven years of work experience and who play a leadership role in their respective communities are eligible to apply. Innovative person usually refers to those who have created a basic idea or product or who are thought to be capable of developing a basic idea or system.

Applicants must know how to communicate in English in a professional environment. Preference will be given to candidates who have limited opportunities for international communication and professional development and who are interested in sharing the cost of the program. The finalists may be interviewed by telephone.
