Apple is paying fine for slowing down the iPhone

Tech giant Apple has been fined 113 million for slowing down an old model iPhone to boost sales of the new model.

The news was published by the British media BBC on Thursday (November 19).

Apple has been accused by 33 states in the United States of committing such acts. According to the complaint, Apple’s SE, iPhone 6, iPhone 7 model slowed down in 2016 and its users suffered.

Although Apple initially denied the allegations, it later said it was done because the phone’s battery life should be longer.
