Finally, the deadline for filing income tax and returns has been extended. Although there is a deadline for submission by 30th November, but now this year’s income tax return can be filed delayed till December 31.
NBR chairman Abu Hena Md. Rahmatul Munim told reporters at the NBR office in the capital’s Segunbagicha around 3:30 pm today.
Earlier, at a press conference on Sunday, the NBR chairman said the time for filing income tax returns was not increasing this year. The last day to submit the return is November 30. He said that while all other activities are normal, the time for filing income tax returns is not increasing this time.
As of yesterday (November 29), 1.5 million returns have been submitted. 70,000 more returns have been submitted than last year.

He also said that the amount of black money that has turned white in the current financial year will be known after November 30.

However, the NBR chairman said today that the return submission time was extended by one month due to the cowardly situation.
