Materials:
Hilsa fish – 8 pieces, onion paste – 3 cups, garlic paste – 1 teaspoon, tomato paste – 1 teaspoon, ginger paste – 1 teaspoon
Cumin powder – half a teaspoon, sour yogurt – 1 teaspoon, crushed whole garlic – 5, cardamom powder – 1 pinch, green pepper – 5 (chopped from the middle), salt – to taste, coriander leaves – 2 tbsp
Preparation:
Soak the pieces of hilsa fish with 1 teaspoon of salt for 15 to 20 minutes. Add some garlic paste and chopped onion. Make sure that the spices look good on both sides of the pieces. In a hot pan, fry the chopped onion in oil for 10 minutes on low heat. Then add all the remaining spices, 3 tablespoons of water and salt to taste.
Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes. Put the fish pieces in a pan one by one. Cook each side for 6 minutes on low heat for a total of 14 minutes. Cover the pan with a lid at this time. When the oil rises to the top, remove it. Serve garnished with green chillies, tomato paste and coriander leaves.
