What to eat and what not to eat if you have joint pain

Joint pain is a very common ailment in our country. And winter actually increases this problem. Did you know that a lot of joint pain depends on your diet? There are some foods that can increase the pain.

Those who have joint pain are better off at other times of the year but this time of winter they have to suffer a lot. In this case, exercising or massaging can be beneficial. But you also have to be aware of what you are eating. There are some foods that must be avoided if you have joint pain. There are many foods that increase muscle inflammation and weaken tissue connectivity.

Reduce salt intake:

If you have joint pain, you must be careful about eating salt. According to the Arthritis Foundation, eating less salt reduces the amount of calcium excreted from the body. This reduces the risk of osteoporosis and fractures. Eating salt can cause fluid to build up in the tissues and cause swelling, which can lead to joint pain.

Eat less sugary foods:

People who suffer from joint pain should exclude bakery items, soft drinks, sweets, bottled juices from the market and other foods that contain sugar. When the sugar level rises, it increases the pain of the joint several times.

Eating less red meat:

Red meats such as mutton, mutton and meats which are high in saturated fat and omega-6 fatty acids should be excluded. This is because all of these can increase joint pain and worsen the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis.

Gluten:

Gluten is a protein found in grains such as wheat, rye and barley. There are many people who suffer from gluten allergy and many do not know that gluten causes inflammation in their body. Such people should avoid gluten-free foods to control their joint pain.

Nuts and seeds:

Almonds and seeds such as walnuts, almonds, flax seeds and chia seeds are good sources of omega-3 fatty acids which can cure joint pain. Almonds and seeds also reduce the risk of heart disease, diabetes and other diseases.

Cold water fish:

If you like fish, winter is the best time for you. In winter you can eat tuna, salmon, sardines which are rich in omega-3 fatty acids. However, those who are suffering from severe joint pain should consult a doctor.

Eat a little more ginger, garlic and turmeric:

In winter, add a little extra garlic, onion, ginger and turmeric to your diet. These spices have anti-inflammatory properties and are useful in treating arthritis and other joint pains.

Sugar Free Dark Chocolate:

The main ingredient in chocolate, cocoa, has anti-inflammatory properties and contains antioxidants. The higher the amount of cocoa in the chocolate, the greater its anti-inflammatory role. But even the best dark chocolate usually contains sugar and fat. Therefore, consult a doctor before eating dark chocolate.
