There have been several studies on the effects of spending too much time on a conferencing platform on the body. A scientific study recently published in the journal Nature was conducted by researchers at the University of Applied Sciences in Upper Austria.

There are claims that video conference meetings are more tiring than face-to-face meetings. Last October, 35 universities conducted a research survey of students.
The survey monitored their brain and heart responses during a 50-minute class. In the survey, inattentiveness, fatigue as well as changes in heart rate can be observed among the students.
Students also reported feeling drowsy and moody while taking online classes. Based on the results obtained in the survey, the researchers suggested to hold meetings in person.
If it is not possible to take a break after 30 minutes, he said. Apart from this, researchers have asked to follow the 20-20-20 rule and reduce the length of video calls.
