You may have to pay monthly to have a blue tick on your profile on Twitter. Soon after Elon Musk bought Twitter, many changes were being made to the user profile verification process.
Answering a user’s question on Twitter on Sunday, Musk said that Twitter’s entire process of verifying user profiles or verification is being restructured. However, Musk did not say anything clearly about what changes are going to come as a result.
However, according to media sources, from now on, the ‘Blue Tick’ will be restricted to those who are ‘Blue Members’ of Twitter, i.e. those who have a subscription to Twitter. A certain amount of money is required for this subscription.
That cost is also expected to increase. Subscription costs may increase to $19.99. Those who subscribe to Twitter enjoy some additional benefits. They can delete or edit their tweets as they wish.
If you want to get a new ‘blue tick’ on Twitter, Mask can introduce the rule of taking subscription first by paying money. Also, those who already have a Blue Tick are expected to have 90 days to maintain it.
During this period they have to withdraw their subscription. Otherwise, the ‘blue tick’ may be removed from the verified account after 90 days. Those who have a large number of followers on Twitter can apply for Blue Tick.
The authority approves the ‘Blue Tick’ by verifying the profile of the concerned person. The new owner Musk is bringing changes in this process. He set a deadline for Twitter engineers to complete the change.
Musk bought Twitter in a deal worth $4,400 million on Thursday (October 27). The company’s top executives, including CEO Parag Agarwal, were laid off soon after its Twitter acquisition. This time he will also change the ‘blue tick’ process of Twitter.
