Under the ‘Save Our Seas Shark Research Center’, some scientists from Nova Southeastern University in Florida have found some important information on white shark research. The research has concluded that white sharks may contain secret mysteries of cure of human cancer and age-related diseases.
The great white shark is 20 feet in length and at least 1.5 times larger than the human. The mapping of the DNA of sharks has shown that permanent mutations of their DNA formation protect them from cancer and age-related diseases. Moreover, the large white shark itself has the power to repair its DNA.
For humans, ‘variable gene’ characteristics make the risk for age-related diseases and cancer. In the case of sharks, they have gained tolerance by taking on themselves the stability of their genes.
There are lots of things to learn from the genes of these animals. Sharks can cure themselves quickly of serious injuries. They have also adopted a clever strategy in global warmings, such as small animals that have been hunted by them produce more carbon dioxide.
Scientists hope that the results of this study will be useful in the future in the treatment of age-related diseases in humans.
