North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and South Korea’s President Moon Jae-in met on 27th April, 2018 for the first time.
The meeting between two countries taken place over decades. Korean leaders met at the line that separates the divided Koreas. While, the border crossed the line in Panmunjom village.
Kim and Moon together holding hand enters the territory of South and then Kim invite Moon to cross the northern side in smiley face. After the official meeting they participate in a tree-planting ceremony.
After this, they signed the Panmunjom Declaration for Peace, Prosperity and Unification on the Korean Peninsula. The signed treaty brings a formal end of Korean War and a nuclear-free Korean peninsula. Finally, the summit end with a formal dinner.
