Kimpembe withdrawn from France’s World Cup squad!
France’s central defender Prince Kimpembe, who plays for PSG, has withdrawn from France’s World Cup squad. The 27-year-old defender had to accept that he would not be able to play in the World Cup due to not being fully fit due to injury.
France coach Didier Deschamps replaced him with 24-year-old Monaco defender Axel Disassi. Even if Kimpembe does not play, France’s defense is very strong. Coach Desham left the injured Raphael Varane in the team.
Apart from this, Julen Kundes, who plays in Barcelona, Lucas Hernandez, who plays in Bayern Munich, Ibrahim Konate, who plays in Liverpool, and William Saliba, who plays in Arsenal, are in the central defense position of the team.
“Kimpembe is not participating in the World Cup,” the France Football Federation said in a statement. He doesn’t feel fit enough to play in the World Cup. This defender took that decision after discussing with the team’s doctor.
France is in Group D in Qatar World Cup. Denmark, Tunisia and Australia are their opponents. Russia World Cup champions France are also taking part in Qatar as top favourites. The team’s defense and attack are the best in the tournament. Aureline Chuameni and Edward Kamavinga are proven, though there are some questions about the midfield.
