How many steps should a person take daily to stay healthy?
To survive in a healthy body, one has to walk only six thousand feet. Earlier, scientists had researched and said that in order to live a healthy life, one has to walk 10,000 times a day. But a recent study says that if you step six thousand times, not 10 thousand times, you can save more. This is according to a study published last Friday in ‘The Lancet: Public Health’, an international medical research journal.
Researchers examined the results of 15 previously published studies and examined hundreds of thousands of people in four continents, including Asia, Europe, Australia, and North America. But you have to step a little louder. This could be a bit more or less the case. But if you want to live longer, you don’t have to walk more than 6,000 feet a day, say researchers at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, USA.
But everything has a limit, which naturally decreases with age. If you cross that limit of 10 thousand feet every day, it can bring the opposite situation. So six thousand feet is enough.
Another researcher said, “If you want to survive for a long time, you have to walk a few thousand feet a day.” This means that you have to work a little harder that is what it means. Saying 10 thousand means how much hard work.
