Green tea also helps you to live longer. It is a great source of anti-oxidants, vitamin C and other essential nutrients. Green tea also reduces the risk of cancer. Many people start the day with green tea. But if you drink this drink on an empty stomach in the morning, is there really any benefit?

According to experts, this drink should never be taken on an empty stomach in the morning. Green tea contains tannins, which increase stomach acid levels. So drinking on an empty stomach can cause stomach pain. Acidity can also cause nausea. Apart from that, drinking green tea on an empty stomach can also cause constipation. Green tea is not good for patients with peptic ulcer.

Green tea contains caffeine, which increases the production of stress hormones such as cortisol and adrenaline. This can lead to high blood pressure and heart problems. So this green tea is not good for heart patients.

Although green tea is full of anti-oxidants, experts do not recommend eating more than three cups a day. Too much green tea can flush out essential nutrients from the body. The rate of metabolism is highest in the very morning. So drinking green tea in the morning is not good at all. When the rate of our metabolism decreases in doubt, then Green tea helps to increase it. The best time to eat green tea is between 10 am and 12 noon or in the evening.
