Commonwealth Scholarships are the UK government scholarships and funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID).
Study University and level
Master’s/PhD level at a UK university with which the commonwealth scholarship commission (CSC) has a part funding agreement.
Eligibility
You need to meet the following criteria for applying the scholarship-
- Citizen in a developing Commonwealth country. (See the eligible country list)
- Have an Undergraduate degree and a Master’s degree
- The CSC does not require any candidates to take an IELTS (English language) test.
- However, you should note that as a further condition of award, you may be required by your university to provide evidence of a particular level of English language proficiency.
Finance
The scholarship covers tuition fees, monthly stipend, travel costs, thesis grant, clothing allowance, and living allowance with other inclusions.

Every year start on August and close on mid-November
Application procedure
All applications must be made through your nominating body of your home country. You must make your application using the CSC’s Electronic Application System (EAS). Information on how to use the EAS, including detailed guides, is available here.
