Not money, rice is coming out with an automated teller machine (ATM). Vietnam, a Southeast Asian country, is witnessing a scene like this. Vietnam is one of the few countries that still has no loss of life during the Corona period. The initiative has been taken for the needy people so that the virus does not spread in any way.
CNN reports that Vietnamese businessmen and donors are supporting the innovative initiative. People whose income has been cut off in Corona situation will be able to get their required rice from these ATMs completely free of cost.
A person has to do two things to get free rice. First, one has to stand six feet away from the other. And the second task is to use hand sanitizer while taking rice from the ATM.
Coronavirus has been detected in 270 people in Vietnam so far. It is one of the few countries in the world that is considered to be successful in preventing corona.
These rice ATMs have been set up in different parts of the country. In the capital Hanoi, the rice ATM is kept in a huge water tank. The ATMs are open from 8 am to 5 pm. In Ho Chi Minh City, the ATM is open for 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The ATM is housed in a college in the country’s central city. Two kg of rice is being given to the locals there. Vietnam’s state news agency VNA reports that two more rice ATMs will be set up in Da Nang City.
