Winter care for tub plants

Nature stays dry in winter. It affects everything. The water in the tub of the house dries up quickly. Trees kept indoors, on the roof of the house or in the tub on the verandah can become worn out even in winter at this time. So regular care must be taken.

Learn how to take care of tub plants in cold weather –

  • Winter does not mean that the trees will be cold. At this time the tree also needs sunlight. Let the morning sun shine on the tree. The trees will be good in winter. If it is very cold, keep small tubs indoors. The next morning sunbathe on the porch.
  • It is better not to give extra water to the tree in winter. As the soil does not dry easily, the roots may rot. Examine the soil and give water.
  • Excessive dust may accumulate on the tree during winter. Wipe them with a clean soft cloth.
  • Use a spray to water the tub in the house. This will not waste extra water.
  • Many trees may die if the winter is severe. In that case, you can prune the tree a little. When the winter subsides, your hobby tree will grow fresh with new leaves.
  • Mix the discarded tea leaves, vegetable peel, egg shell and make homemade fertilizer. This fertilizer is quite beneficial for the plant.
  • If the color of the leaves becomes lighter, wait until the soil is dry without watering. Keep trees in sunlight.
