How to write a resignation letter (With sample)

If you have decided to resign from your job then it is necessary to provide a resignation letter to proper authority. Resignation letter is a proof of your job leaving which helps you to receive your all dues and payments from office. There can be multiple reasons for leaving your job but it is not necessary to put all of those at your letter. Write the letter in a very formal way.

Praise about the things that you received from your job. Specify clearly about the job leaving exact date. Job leaving policy varies from office to office. You should read your service contract well to know about your office policy. It is necessary to provide your resign letter before the notice period according to your service contract. If you leave the job suddenly without giving any prior notice then you may needed to compensate those days. 

You should keep the length of the letter in one page. Memorize the lovely days that you have pass with your workmates and state that you are going to miss those days. A sample resignation letter has been provided below-
