How to Relieve Stress due to hormones


Anxiety releases stress hormones from our body. Among the stress hormones are adrenaline, cortisol and norepinephrine. Adrenaline increases the heartbeat, increases blood pressure and increases energy supply. Cortisol increases blood sugar levels and the supply of glucose to our brain

Cortisol weakens our immune system. Stimulates physical growth and reduces fertility. Norepinephrine increases heart rate. Increases high blood pressure, breaks down fats and increases blood glucose levels. Regulates the body’s glucose levels in an emergency.

Symptoms

Many problems can arise if these hormones are continuously released. For example –

  • Effects on the heart and digestive system
  • Acne on the skin
  • Decreased sexual ability
  • Irregular menstruation
  • Reduced immunity

Apart from this, symptoms like irritability, anxiety, depression, headache, insomnia, body aches, impaired concentration, memory loss, shortness of breath, chest pain occur.

What to Do

There is no medicine that will cure anxiety or Relieve Stress. However, making lifestyle changes can reduce anxiety.

  • Exercise for half an hour every day
  • Follow a sleep routine
  • Take a break from work
  • Stay away from computer, phone and TV for some time
  • Rest the body
  • Eat nutritious food
  • Chat with nearby people

In society, we constantly have to live by dealing with pressure. Different types of hormones released from the body increase the risk of disease.
